Building Software That Scales

I'm a Senior Software Engineer with 6+ years of experience building production-grade systems end to end — from architecture to deployment. I work across the full stack (Vue.js/TypeScript, C#/.NET, Node.js, PostgreSQL, AWS) and thrive on turning hard problems into clean, scalable solutions.

I've shipped a no-code platform used by real clients, bootstrapped a performance-critical backend from scratch with automated regression guardrails, built an AI-powered test generation engine using RAG + LLMs, and contributed to open source. I care deeply about code quality, CI/CD, and developer experience.

Currently a Senior SWE at FactSet Research Systems, where I've progressed from intern to senior engineer over 6 years — owning projects end to end, setting technical direction, and mentoring across teams.

Work History

Senior Software Engineer

FactSet Research Systems Inc.
Sep 2024 – Present Current
  • Led Data Prep front-end modernization (Vue.js/TypeScript): Vuex→Pinia, Arrow→Vite, and completed the Options→Composition API migration, cutting build times.
  • Built new C#/.NET endpoints and a custom-metadata feature for STACH API, and a GitHub Actions benchmark-regression check that fails PRs that regress performance.
  • Migrated core transform nodes (Join, Union, Delete Rows) off SQLite for scale, and added GIPS/SPAR data-ingestion capabilities; migrated E2E tests from Cypress to Playwright.

Software Engineer III

FactSet Research Systems Inc.
Apr 2022 – Sep 2024
  • Built the core Data Prep application from the ground up (Vue.js, TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, AWS): extract/join/union/transform/aggregation nodes, plan-graph UI, and data drawer — now FactSet's client-facing no-code data-transformation product.
  • Bootstrapped STACH API, a new C#/.NET backend, from scratch, including a benchmark-controller and an automated AWS/GitHub Actions performance-regression pipeline.
  • Set up CI/CD and observability (SonarQube, Jest/Cypress-in-PR, Kibana) and completed migrating the legacy Publisher UI's CI/CD from Jenkins to GitHub Actions.

Software Engineer II

FactSet Research Systems Inc.
Apr 2021 – Apr 2022
  • Built a 100+ test Cypress/Playwright E2E suite from scratch for "Publisher Fusion," a ground-up rewrite of FactSet's report-generation workflow, and migrated its CI from Jenkins to GitHub Actions.
  • Led the "Git to Nemo" migration of Publisher's templating workflow, delivering a new Vue.js/Node.js "Flashpoint" UI with Kibana observability.

Software Engineer I / Intern

FactSet Research Systems Inc.
Jan 2020 – Apr 2021
  • Designed and shipped Note Differ, a Java/Spring + DaisyDiff service and UI to diff historical report versions (hardened against CORS/clickjacking), based on initial HTML-diffing research.
  • Re-architected Narrative Manager's dashboard for scale (15,000+ notes), moving state to memory with sorting, row expansion, and Excel export.

Platform

Data Prep

No-Code Data Transformation Platform

Problem

Client teams needed to extract/join/transform/aggregate financial data (FTP, Cornerstone, PA/SPAR, GIPS) without scripting.

Impact

Built the transform engine and UI from scratch to production; later modernized it (Pinia, Vite, Composition API, Playwright) and moved core nodes off SQLite for scale.

Performance-Critical Data Service

Problem

A data-processing service needed a modern C#/.NET backend with guardrails against silent performance regressions.

Impact

Built REST endpoints and a SQL scalar-function engine from scratch, plus an automated benchmark-regression check that fails a PR regressing performance vs. its base branch.

Regression Infrastructure & CI Migration

Problem

A full rewrite of Publisher's report-generation workflow had no regression coverage.

Impact

Authored 100+ E2E tests from scratch, moved CI to GitHub Actions, and led the Cypress→Playwright migration — the rewrite's primary regression safety net.

Version Comparison Tool

Problem

Analysts had no way to see what changed between saved versions of shared report content.

Impact

Built a Java diffing service and comparison UI, hardened against CORS/clickjacking, and shipped as an adopted client-facing feature.

CodeGraph

Open-Source Contribution — Vue Support (PR #66)

Problem

CodeGraph's static-analysis graph builder had no support for parsing Vue SFCs or Nuxt routing conventions.

Impact

Added a VueExtractor delegating <script>/<script setup> parsing to the TS/JS tree-sitter extractor, plus a Nuxt-aware framework resolver. Merged upstream.
